Underbelt Test | Yellow – Brown I

Elevate your martial art moment by earning a Colored Belt, each representing further growth, forming what it is to be a martial artist.

– Tests conducted locally, in a traditional setting, at Mike’s Ryukyu Kempo Karate & Kobudo™
– Open to all guests
– A standard belt test fee applies to students who pass

In a series of trials, students are tested on multiple Ryukyu Kempo disciplines and how the student has grown in our art. Our Ryukyu Kempo art practices a 10 Kyu (rank) system. Each step has progressive requirements beginning at White Belt and stepping through Yellow, Orange, Purple, Blue, Green, and three levels of Brown Belt. The students may then choose to test for a Black Belt. This traditional event tests our student’s physical strengths, balance, and control, as well as their mental attitude and martial art character.
