ATTAINING YOUR GOALS STARTS WITH ONE CLASS
You have great potential as a karate student, regardless of your athleticism or coordination. Our martial arts system is designed to be taught to anyone, starting with the easy and progressing to the hard. This allows you to learn at your own pace, confidently and safely.
CLASSES THAT EVOLVE WITH YOU
Think you may be bored with traditional workouts? Engaging in karate provides a comprehensive workout that enhances stamina, cardiovascular strength, body tone, coordination, overall strength, and agility.
As you develop your skills, your lessons will also advance. We offer a broad spectrum of rudimentary practices, including classical empty hand forms and ancient weapons training, as well as applied disciplines like sparring, joint manipulation, vital area and nerve-striking self-defense, all to keep you coming back for more.
TRAIN TO PROTECT, LEARN TO DEFEND.
Our dojo teaches the art of Ryukyu Kempo Karate Kobudo Kumite, a classical Okinawan martial art. Our self-defense training comes from a long line of hidden technique theories and profound striking principles derived from empty hand forms, ancient weapons, and full-contact sparring.
Individuals who practice “Competition Karate” often face limitations in their 30s or 40s, whereas Okinawa Karate, such as Ryukyu Kempo, does not have a designated retirement age. It is common for Okinawa Karate practitioners to remain active well into their 60s and 70s, continuously discovering new abilities in their art.
RELIEVE STRESS AND ANXIETY
Karate has been known to help alleviate unhealthy living caused by stress. Poor sleep, feeling tense, dwelling on negative experiences, frequently sick, lacking energy, muscle twitching, numbness, mood swings, or inability to concentrate are some conditions you may be experiencing now.
Our adult program provides numerous personal benefits, including character development, exercise, increased self-confidence, and, most importantly, self-defense. It also serves as a healthy outlet for releasing pent-up frustrations, giving you a fresh start in life.
EXPLORE ANCIENT MARTIAL ARTS
Karate includes the study of classical forms, weapons, and self-defense strategies rooted in ancient traditions, allowing adults to connect with the cultural significance of karate. By engaging in sparring and joint manipulation exercises, they gain insight into the practical applications of these skills, reinforcing the relevance of ancient practices in modern self-defense. This journey not only boosts physical fitness but also fosters a deeper respect for the time-honored principles and techniques that have shaped karate through the ages.

FAQS
Absolutely! The potential of karate students is immeasurable, regardless of their abilities or coordination. Our martial art system is designed for the average person, with equal training for everyone and the flexibility to allow students to learn at their own pace.
Karate is meant for self-defense. With this in mind, we pass down a proven system to learn from and meticulously practice the techniques within, allowing our students to grow more confident with each class and potentially defend themselves if needed.
Achieving balance is an essential aspect of karate. Our weekly drills concentrate on strength, muscle memory, and self-control to establish stability in our lower body resulting in stronger stances and controlled kicking applications. Through these weekly drills, most of our students see a significant improvement in their balance and overall body control.
Ryukyu Kempo Karate Kobudo Kumite: Our Ryukyu Kempo system incorporates joint manipulation and vital area striking techniques derived from hidden meanings within Ryukyuan empty hand forms (Kata), weapons (Kobudo), and sparring (Kumite) practices. It also includes an advanced part of karate utilizing nerve-striking techniques. This classical martial art, often referred to as the “old way of karate,” emphasizes self-defense over sport from hundreds of years of study.
Karate can give you an avenue to physically work off your frustrations. Plus, karate demands intense concentration, giving your mind a temporary escape from a stressful lifestyle.
Great question! We begin training by teaching everyone the basics individually before pairing students together for our applied disciplines, an essential part of our system. Working out with a classmate or bringing a friend could also help you reach your goals fivefold.
